American Girl
Revised 1/7/2025

As part of a new licensing agreement with Mattel, Department 56 introduced a building and three coordinating accessories in advance of the 40th anniversary of the popular American Girl dolls. The American Girl dolls were released in 1986 by Pleasant Company, a division of Mattel. The 18-inch dolls are representative of countless faiths, nationalities, and professions and portray girls from eight to fourteen. The building for this licensed collection is inspired by the flagship store location in Chicago.
